Why a Community Land Trust?

Fees are
listed on MLS for homes on the market. For homes not listed on MLS, we
also pay competitive fees to buyer’s agent
Community land trusts
provide options for buyers who are unable to purchase in the current
market. Like common interest communities and condos the buyer owns the
home. Two Rivers CLT owns the land.
Community land trust
home prices are written down with federal, state and private funds. Two
Rivers CLT believes these resources should be preserved. In exchange for
the decrease in cost the owner receives 25% of the increase in property
when they sell their home. Public and private funds remain in the
property so that the home is affordable for the next buyer.
The goal of our
nonprofit is to create an affordable pool of homes so that future low
income buyers have the ability to enter into home ownership.
