Teresa vanderBent,
Executive Director
has twenty plus years experience in the nonprofit management and
capacity building of organizations.
Her past experience included the co-founding Hope House of St
Croix Valley, an adult foster care home in Stillwater, MN.
Ms. vanderBent is the founder of Two Rivers CLT and a member of the MN CLT
Coalition.
As Executive Director, Ms vanderBent oversees the management of Two
Rivers CLT including but not limited to strategic planning;
governance;
financial management & planning; outreach; fund development & fund
raising; housing development; and building and
maintaining key alliances
and community government relationships. She represents Two Rivers CLT
in conversations with State officials,
Met Council, county, area Housing
& Redevelopment Authorities, cities, developers, real estate
professionals, bankers and other key partners

Kathryn Paulson, our Housing Project Manager’s
20+-year career includes experience developing affordable housing and home
improvement programs for nonprofit community development organizations.In
her role as Housing Project Manager for Two Rivers CLT
creates and manages
housing developments budgets; manages the new construction/rehabilitation
contracts in conjunction with key partners;
applies for housing development
funds from state, federal, local and regional funders; and manages funder
contracts, reimbursement and
reporting that coincide with these contracts.
She also works with home buyers to understand the work that has been
completed on rehabilitated
homes. In addition, she coordinates the housing
contractor walk through with buyers on all new units to ensure buyers
understand the working
of their homes, the applicable warranties and their
rights in the first year with newly constructed units. She also acts as a
liaison with owners
who have questions about home maintenance or rehab
projects.
Under Ms. Paulson’s direction Two Rivers CLT has constructed eight new
homes; acquired and rehabilitated forty homes, and facilitated
the purchase
of thirteen buildable lots. Five were in the Red Oak development, two lots
were purchased through the property tax forfeiture
process and six lots were
purchased through negotiations with land owners.
